Schumacher's Pathway to Dream Home
Transforming the Custom Home-Building Journey with User-Centered Design and Digital Innovation
Overview
Paul Schumacher Homes is a leader in custom home building, offering tailored solutions to clients seeking their dream homes. To improve their digital experience, Schumacher Homes sought an end-to-end redesign of their online presence. As the Lead UX Strategist, I spearheaded this effort, facilitating research, defining strategy, and delivering a cohesive digital solution.
Challenges
- Transparency Issues: Pricing information was unclear, leading to frustration among potential customers.
- Manual Processes: The home-building process heavily relied on in-person interactions, leaving users feeling rushed and overwhelmed.
- Findability Problems: Customers struggled to locate and revisit styles and options they had liked during the decision-making process.
- Validation of Concepts: Schumacher Homes wanted to explore the potential of a 3D configurator and its value to the customer journey.
- Alignment Across Teams: Ensuring the new experience aligned with business objectives, technical feasibility, and user needs.
